Today we are shooting at a studio we also call home like our own studio. I had the opportunity to hire Bharti Vidhyapeeth's studio, the same one where I first began my photography lessons when I studied here as a studio. It feels so good to be working here commercially and spending an entire day here with the team.

Today at the studio we are shooting with Chahat Dalal for a footwear brand shoot. It feels like such a waste to work with somebody so gorgeous but only use their feet :D Eventually what matters is the shoot brief and approach planned and everybody just follows through!

Today we went outdoors. It rare but a super fun experience getting access to some exclusive places to capture on the camera. As a photographer, you can call this perks which I absolutely love, while it does get very tiring to carry all that equipment, packing and unpacking is the part I hate. This is a behind the scenes for a cover editorial shoot we're doing for Esquire magazine. Its one of those "look ma, my photos on the cover of a magazine" kind of moment!

Ever felt like you've underquoted a client?

So we're shooting for a luxury watch brand we absolutely love and we come across a watch where the chrome highlights were not anticipated. This took me all of a week just to crack a single angle shot.

Do you charge the client more? or do you just put your head down and pull through?

Here's what I did. 

I just stuck it out, head down and finally cracked it a week later. Did I do right or wrong? I dont know, but I can definitely say that I learnt something along the way, and that's what being a professional is all about. Sometimes you earn, sometimes you grow!

Creating an image from scratch for a watch that almost would seem impossible to light up for somebody else. What a beautiful feeling it is to crack it! It took us all of about 3 sessions and a week of overthinking but we're excited for you to see it soon. Here's me doing some final touches to the watch to ensure it is dust free and positioned correctly.

We've received a package! This is one of the most exciting time for me unwrapping all the products and closely seeing them and the details in them. This is the first step from where we begin to conceptualise our shoot. Our product stylist Omkar also will come in to view the watches before we pitch a firm concept to the client.

What's the tiniest product you have ever shot? We have shot some of the largest to the tiniest products in the studio, while people may feel the larger ones are difficult to shoot, its the tiny ones who can be more challenging. Because the lights are way larger than you want to define the product.

Today at the studio, we have the lighting rental company RentAQuip lighting up our luxury watches for a brand photoshoot. Watches are some of the most complex materials to shoot considering they have glass, metal and other materials like ceramic. It is super challenging but greatly satisfying when the results pop !

It has today completed over 5 years of service with me and I don't even have the slightest doubt that it'll last with me another 10. I've shot all major international campaigns on this and without the slightest hiccup (ofcourse having my Hasselblad as the main camera too) Whats your favorite camera that you feel will last you a lifetime?

Today we started a new project for a new brand. This one is something I personally have a keen interest in. Its a tech brand focussing on biometrics wifi-activated door locks. While it has been challenging creating different rigs to mount the product, the personal interest in the product keeps me going.

Today was an exciting day as we worked on a photo shoot for a prominent footwear brand. The goal was to capture the beauty and versatility of the shoes, and we did so by photographing them from different angles and perspectives.

As we set up the shots, we paid close attention to the details of each footwear, from the texture of the material to the shape of the heel. We experimented with various lighting techniques to highlight the shoes' unique features, making them stand out and catch the viewer's eye.

Dark Perfume Bottles and Lighting :-
today at the studio we experimented with dark perfume bottles and lighting. By playing around with different angles and intensities of light, we are able to bring the unique features of each perfume  and create a captivating visual experience.
